my love -- The Little Prince

that's my fav book... there's a few lines that i like..

Little Prince: what are u doing there?
Drinker: Im drinking.
Little Prince: why are u drinking?
Drinker: to forget..
Little Prince : to forget what?
Drinker: to forget that im ashamed.
Little Prince: ashamed of what?
Drinker: ashamed of drinking!
Little Prince went away, perplexed.
Growned ups are decidedly very odd, he says to himself

Little Prince had been very disappointed as he found out that there's many thousand roses in the rose garden, and all the while the only rose he knew and loved had told him that she's the only rose in the whole universe
he met a fox and the fox requested Little Prince to tame him.

fox: im bored. but if u tame me, my days will be as if filled with sunlight
i shall know the sound of a footstep different from all the rest
others make me run, but urs will call me out fr the foxhole, like music
besides, u see the fields of corn?
corn is of no use to me and reminds me of nothing, which is sad
but ur hair is the colour of gold
after u 've tamed me
the corn, which is golden,will remind me of u
and i shall come to love the sound of the wind in the field of corn..

and so the Little Prince tamed the fox. however in the end they have to part
fox: go and look at the roses again. you will understand that urs is, after all, unique in the world.

and the fox promised Little Prince a secret.

the Little Prince went and looked and came back to the fox
Fox: good bye. now here is my secret. very simply: you can only see things clearly with ur heart. What is essential is invisble to the eye...
